I have made a funny. These aren’t actually Lebron James-endorsed Nike combat boots. Instead, they are the Nike Lebron VI. As far as I know, these are the first detailed pictures of them and holy crap do they look chunky. These things probably weigh 2 lbs. apiece.
The design isn’t bad…until you get down to those soles. I’m not sure what scale these pictures are, but my guesstimation leads me to believe the Lebron VI has a three inch sole on them. I am reminded of some 70’s style go-go boots or some crap, fat Jonah Hill in “The 40-Year Old Virgin”-style. I wonder if a goldfish could effectually habitate a sole that big. My guess is “absolutely”.
I don’t hate the shoe, but if Lebron goes up for some huge dunk and somebody gets tripped and somehow ends up getting a size 15 version of one of these babies to the face, that thing is coming down like a sledgehammer. Bron-Bron is gonna need a new pair at halftime because his foot is gonna be covered in brains.

Well, in terms of design, these are definitely interesting. I think Nike needs to streamline these suckers before production, Keep the conceptual integrity of the shoe in tact, but lighten the shoe up, drop the sole, and don’t use what looks to be leather sofa cushions for the toe box. If the Man-Ape Super Human Freak-show Lebron James is the only person that can lift his feet while wearing these, than damn, something is whack. Either way I am sure they will cost like $250.00 thus Nike can do whatever they want and it won’t affect me, because you know I ain’t gonna be rockin $250.00 sneakers in my Intramural B-League basketball games….
Not to mention i designed that shoe in like 10th grade sitting in choir…damn, Nike jacked me again….

The real question is…Are kids nowadays going to be looking back when they’re older and say, “Man the new Lebron XXIII’s are nothing like the old school Lebron VI’s. Those were tight.”?

If they keep going in the direction they are going, I don’t see how those Lebron XXIII’s aren’t gonna end up looking like this:
